Navigate to prod-portal-sacramento-ca.journaltech.com. This is the JournalTech public portal for Sacramento County courts.
This portal requires a free account. Click Login/Register and create an account with your email. After logging in, solve the math CAPTCHA (e.g. "What is 3 + 4?").
Go to the Calendar Search page. Select case type Probate (PR).
Enter the filing date range for the period you want to search. Click Search.
The results table shows case numbers, filing dates, and case names. Click a case number to view details.
On the case detail page, click View Document buttons to download PDFs. Extract text from the application for probate to find decedent info, executor, heirs, and property.
For each qualified case, record: Case Number, Decedent Name, Date of Death, Executor Name & Mailing Address, Property Address, and Filing Date. Skip guardianship and conservatorship cases.
